NRC Newsletter - April 2018

Busy, busy, busy!

The first quarter of 2018 has been incredibly busy for us here at New River Computing—so busy, in fact, we’ve not had time to get out a newsletter for a couple months. We’ve been working hard to give excellent, timely service while also onboarding new clients, in addition to managing the surge in hardware and software purchases. We appreciate your patience during this busy time!

We have an excellent team and often hear great feedback on their work, even during our busy times. We love to hear the positive feedback from our clients. We also strive to continuously improve our service by addressing the concerns of our customers. If you feel you have not received the service you deserve, please email me directly jeff@newrivercomputing.com and let me know how we can improve.

Immersion Experience Qualified Facilitator

Immersion Experience Partner badge

We are proud to announce that Jeff Wynn has completed the requirements to be recognized as an Immersion Experience Qualified Facilitator. Earners of this badge have demonstrated the skills required to deliver Immersion Experience sessions. Jeff understands how to facilitate a conversation with customers to understand customer work scenarios and uncover solutions to address customer pain points. Jeff works continuously to be a valuable partner to customers.

What it takes to earn this badge:

  • Must be a member of a Microsoft partner organization
  • Understand the Microsoft platform and products
  • Successfully complete in-person Immersion Experience Facilitator Qualification training, which includes the review of videos and reading materials as well as high-quality teach-backs

In December, we shared with you the opportunity to experience firsthand Microsoft Office 365 tools. Those opportunities are still available, and we will gladly help you examine your business process headaches. We'll provide the venue, the hardware, and some snacks. You bring an open mind and knowledge about your company's business process, that's it. If you're interested in scheduling a session, email jeff@newrivercomputing.com or celeste@newrivercomputing.com.

NRC Birthdays – March & April

IT Review – What is the purpose?

IT Reviews are meetings with our managed clients to look at big picture items. These meetings are usually between the company owner and primary contact and appropriate New River Computing staff. The meetings usually occur once or twice a year, and we think the IT Reviews provide enormous value. Many of our clients think so too. IT Reviews are covered under our agreements.

Topics usually include:

  • Hardware and software inventory life-cycle planning
  • Lingering or open tickets
  • Updating contact lists
  • Reviewing emerging industry security concerns
  • Reviewing IT trends that may impact your company
  • What's new and changing at your office & NRC
  • How can we improve our service

Regular IT Reviews help us keep focused on the changing IT needs of our clients and provide a forum for discussion outside of the day-to-day IT crises. These meetings help us prevent IT surprises. We appreciate the time you all give to meet with us!
